With the rapid rise of virtual deals, here are five tools to help homebuyers, sellers and agents stay in touch without ever leaving home. We know that even in the best of times, things can change quickly in real estate, from housing market conditions to new listings hitting and leaving the market. This means an efficient exchange of often time-sensitive information is essential in the decision-making process. Thankfully we have technology at our fingertips, so staying connected has never been easier. From the tried-and-tried (albeit old school) phone call, to video conferencing and more, here’s how you can stay in touch with your agent without ever leaving home.

Social Media

Social media is a great tool to digitally connect with your real estate agent. Most realtors are already active on most social media platforms as a way to market their business online. Add them as a friend on Facebook, or send them a DM on Instagram to keep updated with anything business related or personal.

FaceTime

FaceTime is one of the most convenient ways to connect virtually. Using your cell phone (which likely never leaves your hands these days!) you can call your agent via video chat. At this time, many agents are using FaceTime and other video chat tools to do everything from showing houses virtually to organizing home inspections and negotiating a deal. Agents often use digital apps to their advantage, and so can home buyers and sellers.

Skype

We all know that there’s nothing quite like meeting someone face-to-face, and when you can’t do that in person, you can do so digitally. Skype is another great form of video conferencing. While it can be similar to FaceTime, many businesses are option to use this platform as a substitute for face-to-face meetings with clients.

Digital Presentations

If your agent is using a tool like Quickpage, they will be able to continue to show you listings and when you’re ready, do your real estate deal from a distance. This tool provides an efficient, all-in-one to share listing photos and videos, floor plans, paperwork, and has an integrated call and text tool.

Text/phone call

This is another simple yet effective way to stay in touch with your agent, who is also relying on their phone and other tools to stay in touch with you, just as much as you wish to keep in touch with them! So send them a text or give them a call. They’ll be happy to hear from you!
